Ranveer Allahbadia, an online video and podcast personality, Ranveer Allahabadia reaches Supreme Court to combine multiple lawsuits filed against him over comments he made during Samay Raina's show 'India's Got Latent' that have caused controversy. A bench composed of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh will hear his case.

As far as we are aware, only two FIRs have been filed against Allahbadia thus far and not many more will likely follow, based on Allahbadia's petition to Justice Kant. While Allahbadia may have the popular vote among some groups in society, taking them for granted shouldn't mean taking advantage of their trust by speaking their mind freely through language like this that comes out. Justice Kant cast doubt upon Allahbadia's petition by questioning its need for protection by society.

Allahbadia, currently subject to police inquiries on Ranveer allahbadia controversial comment, moved the Supreme Court last week seeking consolidation of all FIRs lodged against him and anticipatory bail from Guwahati Police. Last week, Allahbadia's lawyer Abhinav Chandrachud (son of former Chief Justice DY Chandrachud) requested an urgent listing but this request was turned down by Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna.

Allahbadia, commonly known as 'BeerBiceps Guy,' has been named in several FIRs filed against him across Maharashtra, Assam and Jaipur and asked to appear before investigation agencies in person and record statements. But so far no response has been forthcoming from Allahbadia with respect to investigations conducted by Maharashtra Cyber Department Guwahati Police and Jaipur Police related to India's Got Latent case, said officials.

Mumbai and Guwahati police issued a joint statement Monday afternoon claiming Allahbadia has failed to contact either investigative agencies.

"Both Maharashtra Cyber and Guwahati Police have filed cases against Ranveer Allahbadia; however, neither he nor any member of his family have come into contact with either department," as per an announcement by Maharashtra Cyber Department on February 24.

Allahbadia had also been summoned by the National Commission for Women (NCW) on Monday morning; however, like Mumbai Police's summons he failed to appear and has since been asked by them to appear before their women's panel again on March 6th.
